Robert Porcher Inducted Into Pride of the Lions

Robert Porcher Inducted in Pride of the Lions

The Detroit Lions’ home opener on September 14, 2025, was more than just the start of a new season – it was a moment of history and legacy. During halftime, former Lion Robert Porcher was officially inducted into the Pride of the Lions, and it was especially meaningful for Lomas Brown and the Lomas Brown Jr. Foundation.

Lomas Brown, Calvin Johnson, and other Pride of the Lions members welcomed Robert Porcher into this exclusive group, celebrating his incredible career as the Lions’ all-time sack leader and a three-time Pro Bowler. For Lomas, the moment carried even deeper significance: Porcher was his teammate from 1992 to 1995, and having the chance to help induct a former teammate and friend made the honor even more special.

The Pride of the Lions is reserved for the greatest to ever wear Honolulu Blue, and now with Porcher’s induction, he becomes the 22nd member of this distinguished group. This continues a tradition of celebrating players who not only excelled on the field, but who embody the values of resilience, leadership, and community.

At the Lomas Brown Jr. Foundation, we believe in uplifting legacies like these because they inspire our mission – to encourage children in Southeast Michigan to dream big, work hard, and leave a lasting legacy. Just as Lomas’s career was marked by leadership and giving back, this moment reinforces the importance of carrying those values forward.
