Mission
& Vision

It is our mission to engage youth in a mindset of success by stressing academics, use of technology, development of life skills and healthy nutritional habits, encouraging participation in physical fitness, sports and recreation enhancement programs while fostering an environment of diversity and inclusion.

About
The Foundation

Lomas Brown, Jr., former 18 year NFL veteran, and Lion’s offensive lineman has held Football Player Enhancement and Offensive & Defensive Lineman (BIG MAN) Camps for several years. Prior to founding the Foundation, he extended his youth football camps and founded his L.E.A.P. Camp (learn, earn and play) as an after-school enrichment education and activities program.

The Lomas Brown, Jr. Foundation was founded in 1991 to also provide post-secondary scholarships and financial aid to college-bound high school students.  Through educational and conditioning enhancement camps the Foundation has been able to strengthen students academic skill-sets, physical abilities, life-skills and career awareness.

Hands-On

We are excited to be working hands-on with today’s youth and teaching them the game that I loved for all these years.

Helping Students

We are also helping students through the L.E.A.P. Camp with academic attainment levels, life-skills, improved career and job awareness levels, and fitness and nutrition.

Building a Legacy

“ Mirror Image …It Begins With You”. A motto that is the cornerstone of his commitment and goal to help our children become better student-athletes and well-rounded individuals.

Help with a Donation

Now in existence for over twenty years, The Lomas Brown, Jr. Foundation continues to strive to expand its youth programs and offerings throughout our state and beyond. I’m proud to share, that since 1993, shortly upon retiring from the NFL, The Lomas Brown, Jr. Foundation was formed and began a mission to engage kids from ages 5 to 19 years-old, in a ‘mindset of success’.

In order to meet our mission and continue to provide programs and services to our youth, we rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses alike, for support.  Without the assistance of community-minded individuals and corporate citizens like you, we wouldn’t be able to serve the youth in our communities, every year.  These Foundation camps make a difference for hundreds and hundreds of kids and their families–all while providing skillsets through our staff of expert program mentors.

This year our goal is to reach one million dollars. Generous contributions provided throughout the years have made the difference in our ability to support more youth in underserved neighborhoods by enabling us to expand our reach in these areas.  Many of our partnerships have been in-kind corporate donations as well as individual donations of any size. Every dollar is greatly appreciated and goes directly to support each camp budget.
