Each year, the Lomas Brown Jr. Foundation hosts its signature LEAP Camp—a powerful initiative designed to inspire, educate, and equip youth in Southeast Michigan with skills for tomorrow. This year’s camp is taking an exciting leap forward, offering hands-on learning in two of the fastest-growing fields in the world: drone technology and artificial intelligence.
At LEAP Camp 2025, students will dive into interactive workshops where they’ll learn how to pilot drones, understand flight mechanics, and explore real-world applications in industries like logistics, photography, and emergency response. Even more exciting, campers will also receive an introduction to AI tools and concepts, sparking their curiosity and building foundational skills for careers in tech and innovation.

LEAP stands for Leadership, Education, Attitude, and Preparation, and that’s exactly what this camp delivers. By introducing cutting-edge topics in an accessible, supportive environment, the program helps students see what’s possible—not just for the future, but for themselves.
